Description
Aromatic tropical nose of yellow apple, quince and apricots. Great mouthfeel of subtle sour lemons, racy acidity and a soft citrus finish. Good choice for an aperitif and lovely with seafood.
We visited this amazing winery in February and met the highly talented and super friendly winemaker Lisa. Her mantra is to make wines that reflect the terroir and use the elements of the Atlantic coast to shape her wines. Hot summers and stormy winters are the order of the day with high diurnals especially during the summer months. Good canopy management is essential to get the best yields from the grapes in these coastal conditions.
This Sauvignon is not a pungent as the New Zealand style but it is brimming with flavour. Definitely one to try.
