Situated in the heart of the town, White Sails Gallery is one of Dartmouth’s most popular galleries. Exhibiting a wide range of originals, limited editions, prints and photography as well as bronzes, ceramics, carvings and hand-crafted glass, we have work to suit all tastes. Most of our work is available online via our website and we can deliver anywhere in the UK and abroad by arrangement. We also hold regular exhibitions and if you would like to be informed about these and entered into our quarterly FREE PRIZE DRAW then please sign up to our mailing list via the website.
David and Holly Jones run Manna from Devon Cooking School, small but perfectly formed, overlooking Dartmouth and the River Dart. They specialise in Wood Fired Oven Cooking, Breadmaking and Fish Cooking. At the school you’ll learn in small friendly classes with a mixture of hands-on cooking and demonstrations from your teacher and you’ll be well fed with delicious wine too!
The Fizz Boat which is based in Dartmouth, is run by Louise & Aiden. They are two lovely people who will take you on an amazing trip on the beautiful & scenic River Dart.
This is what they say: “Champagne cruises on the River Dart, fizz, fun & food. Are you looking for a way to create an occasion that’s unique, memorable and fun? In a stunning setting with fabulous service and a boat load of fizz….then you’re in the right place!”
St. Christopher’s School is a proprietorial school owned by Mrs Jane Kenyon. Mrs Alexandra Cottell is the Headmistress and is responsible for the day to day running of the school. It is a non-selective school with a Christian ethos.
At St. Christopher’s we treat your son or daughter as an individual, striving to discover their needs and abilities while giving them security and a sense of belonging to the community of the school family. In preparing children not only for the next stage of education, but for the wider world, we aim to provide solid foundations based on a clear Christian ethos, resulting in sound values and the ability to make clear judgements.
Education is a team effort. We need and expect strong support from home. The family atmosphere at St. Christopher’s encourages a happy, co-operative approach including parental access to the teaching staff on an informal basis.
In September 2019 we were inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate and received a rating of Excellent in all areas, we are only one of five schools in Devon to have been achieved this.
