AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOL

Pursuant to the Licensing Act 2003 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor subject to a maximum fine of £1,000, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £5,000.

Pursuant to the Licensing Scotland Act 2005 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor subject to a maximum fine of £200, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £5,000 and or 3 months imprisonment.

Michael Sutton’s Cellar Ltd is a responsible seller of alcohol and take all necessary steps to ensure that our products are not sold or sent to persons under 18. The website must only be used by those over 18. We operate a ‘think 25 policy.’ Our couriers may ask for ID in the form of a passport or driving license if they have reason to believe the recipient of our goods looks under 25.

In making a purchase of alcohol from Michael Sutton’s Cellar Ltd you are accepting these Terms & Conditions and you agree to provide Michael Sutton’s Cellar Ltd truthful and accurate information and act in accordance with the Licensing Act of 2003 or where applicable the Licensing Scotland Act 2005.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

All prices are inclusive of VAT and duty.

Wines can be sold by the bottle and/or by the case.

Should our stocks run out we will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative or recommend the next vintage.

Michael Sutton’s Cellar Ltd is a UK company and any dispute or claims that arise from using this website must be made and settled under UK law.

TERMS

Payment is due strictly on receipt of invoice.

We accept credit/debit cards (excluding American Express), bank transfers or cheques.

It is always preferable to sign for any delivery but arrangements can be made to leave the goods in a secure place of your choosing for example in a shed or porch or with a neighbour. Please notify us of your preference at the time of ordering.

IMPORTANT: if a request is made for wine to be left unattended, Michael Sutton’s Cellar cannot be held responsible if goods go missing after the carrier has left goods without a signature.

We make every effort to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and current; Michael Sutton’s Cellar Ltd reserves the right to the change price and availability information without notice.

RETURNS POLICY

Damaged Goods

Notification of shortages or breakages must be given to ourselves within 24 hours of delivery. Damaged packages must be photographed to provide evidence. We regret we cannot accept any claims without production of a valid signed delivery note.

Sale or Return

We are more than happy to supply wines on a sale or return basis. Payment terms will be set on a case by case basis.
