Description
A medium-bodied true winner from La Rioja Alta. Fresh aromas of ripe fruit from the warm summery days of 2016 take you through to a complex framework of flavours of fruit and spice. Red cherry and black plums, blackberries, create this well-balanced compote of deeply concentrated flavours with cinnamon and clove with notes of cigar box on the finish. Melting tannins, good acidity and vitality make this a serious wine. Nicely developed now and has the potential to age. We drank it with shoulder of Lamb slow-roasted on a bed of chickpeas, it was superb!
