We have stocked a dry Furmint from Chateau Dereszla for years and it has proved to be very popular & versatile, so we couldn’t resist adding its big brother to the shelves!
Medium-bodied with a welcoming freshness, minerals, quince, peach & pear flavours followed by a balanced acidity to cleanse the palate. Excellent with seafood especially oysters, seared scallops and many dishes using the sweeter spices such as garam marsala & star anise.
Caroline Gilby MW is fascinated by this noble grape variety from Tokaji and describes it as having “deliciousness & vibrant acidity” which makes you want to try a glass immediately!
