Description
Originally I wrote a lazy tasting note for this wine purely because when we first opened the bottle it made my nose twitch with excitement and then somehow our glasses were empty!
Bags of dark fruit, smooth with elegant chalky tannins and white pepper spice on the long finish. Grown on the slopes of the Paardeberg mountains, Swartzland, the wine has a mineral character from the granite soils. Matured in French oak for 8-12 months. Very drinkable now but has the potential to age well. We drank it with a fragrant lamb curry & it disappeared very quickly!
